Social Media Policy
At Sacred Heart Schools, our school community members use social media platforms to connect with prospective families, current families, students, alumni, and friends of SHS. This may include news, promotional materials, educational content, and school activities, amongst others. The tools we use include, but are not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Snapchat.
Sacred Heart Schools takes social media seriously. Faculty, staff, and students are all expected to show respect and to take the privacy of others into careful consideration. Additionally, all Sacred Heart Schools families should abide by the Student/Parent Handbook guidelines for social media use.
We thank all who “like” our pages and contribute to our online community. Messages and comments posted to SHS social media pages do not necessarily represent the views of Sacred Heart Schools. Sacred Heart Schools reserves the right to remove comments and/or report users who post comments which, in the school administration’s sole discretion, bully, intimidate, or harass any individual; contain obscenity, nudity or gratuitous violence; are commercial solicitations; are factually erroneous, libelous, or wildly off-topic; are from anonymous blog trolls; constitute an incitement to violence or violation of law or school’s policy, or which constitute true threats; or that otherwise violate State law, school policy, or the social media site’s own policies.
As a visitor to our social channels, you agree to be kind and courteous, respect other’s privacy, and treat others as you would like to be treated.
