Our Core Values of Reverence, Service, Leadership, and Community are woven together to empower the Sacred Heart community to live Christ-centered lives rooted in the Catholic faith and Ursuline tradition.
Reverence is at the heart of our actions resulting in mindful relationships built with compassion. We act with an abiding respect for God, ourselves, each other, and all of creation.
Service is born of reverence. It calls us to be intentional stewards and advocates who contribute to our common home and family. We collaborate with those we serve to address needs, making the world a better place.
Leadership is an act of service that positively shapes the community. We act as leaders by compassionately serving the needs of others, being risk-takers that go beyond expectations, and seeking to inspire.
Community is a fellowship of support and connection, where we call each other by name while serving our neighbors, peers, and the world through inclusivity, listening, and bridge-building.
Together, we celebrate our love for God, our diverse family, and our work in education as we strive to become globally minded, compassionate leaders.
Authentically Catholic. Proudly Ursuline.
From its founding by the Ursuline Sisters in 1877 as the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Sacred Heart Schools has been creating enlightened scholars, compassionate leaders of high character, and responsible citizens who make a difference across Kentucky and around the world.
Sacred Heart Schools provides an International Baccalaureate and Cognia-accredited, Catholic, Ursuline education from early childhood through high school and offers community-wide after-school arts instruction and performances. We transform nearly 2,000 students' lives yearly through Catholic faith formation, academic excellence, leadership development, art exploration, athletic growth, and service outreach.
Authentically Catholic We are rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the teaching mission of the Catholic Church. We are dedicated to building community and offering education that affirms and enhances the dignity of all individuals.
Through our common connection as members of God's family, we celebrate diversity and reverence all people. Our inclusive culture enables all students, faculty, and staff to develop and thrive while sharing their God-given talents.
Proudly Ursuline Founded in 1877 and sponsored by the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville, we are a Catholic, Ursuline community. Sacred Heart Schools is mission-driven and guided by the Ursuline Charism of St. Angela Merici - a contemplative love of God and a resulting openness and eagerness to serve the needs of others.
We are committed to teaching and living the Ursuline Core Values of reverence, service, leadership, and community.
