Lead. Inspire. Transform.

Every gift to Sacred Heart Schools is vital in achieving our goals and empowering our students and teachers to excel. We are proud to recognize those who step forward with exceptional generosity and leadership. Through membership in the Sacred Heart Society, donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually to the Annual Fund, scholarships, endowments, special projects, or other restricted gifts join a distinguished group of Sacred Heart’s most loyal and visionary supporters.

Sacred Heart Society donors embody our mission of inspiring learners to become globally-minded leaders. Their contributions ensure that we continue to cultivate an environment where students are encouraged to reach their highest potential.

As a token of our gratitude, Sacred Heart Society donors receive:

  • Annual Appreciation Dinner: An exclusive event each fall celebrating the generosity and leadership of our donors.
  • Recognition in the Annual Report: Honoring your commitment to our mission and community.
  • Special Invitations and Updates: Keeping you informed and engaged with the impactful work your support makes possible throughout the year.

By joining the Sacred Heart Society, you are not just supporting our present; you are investing in a future where our students grow into leaders who will make a difference.

The Laurel Award

Each fall, during the Sacred Heart Society Dinner, President McNay has the honor of presenting the Laurel Award. This award celebrates a member of the Sacred Heart Schools community whose commitment and dedication to our mission are both strong and far-reaching.

The Laurel Award recognizes individuals whose contributions are deeply rooted in the values of Sacred Heart, demonstrating a breadth of support that impacts every aspect of our schools. These individuals embody the spirit of Sacred Heart, nurturing and strengthening our community through their devotion and service.

2023

On October 3, 2023, Peg and Steve Diebold, former Sacred Heart Academy parents, were named recipients of the 2023 Laurel Award. In his touching remarks, Steve shared that their "support for this remarkable institution has been guided by our shared belief that quality education grounded in the Catholic faith and supported by the school’s core values of Reverence, Service, Leadership, and Community, are the cornerstones of a thriving society. Blending the challenge of educational rigor, extracurricular excellence, and Sacred Heart’s core values, is a winning formula for the development of young women who will eventually become family and community leaders."

Laurel Award 2021 honorees

In October 2021, Sacred Heart Schools honored our 2021 Laurel Award recipients, Steve and Terri Holloway Sautel '86, at the annual Sacred Heart Society dinner. Dr. Karen McNay, Sacred Heart Schools President, expressed our gratitude to Steve and Terri for their generous support of Sacred Heart Schools and Catholic education.

The laurel tree--strong, deep-rooted, and wide-branched--has long been part of our Ursuline history and is a significant element of the Ursuline Coat of Arms. We honor the Sautels for their time, talent, and treasure devoted to Sacred Heart Schools and thank them for their example of the Ursuline Core Values of community, reverence, service, and leadership.

2020

Sacred-Heart-Society-Trompeters

Sacred Heart Schools was honored to present the 2020 Laurel Award to Bert and Barbara Duerr Trompeter ’50. The Trompeters embody and deeply value the legacy and charism of the Ursuline Sisters. It was this great respect that led them to sponsor the renovation and creation of the Ursuline Legacy Room in the Motherhouse.

Barbara graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1950 and was later blessed to give her five daughters- Ann Trompeter ’74, Kathy Trompeter’75, Jennie Trompeter Heintzmann ’77, Patti Trompeter Nash ’91, and Barbie Trompeter ’84- the gift of an Ursuline education.  The Ursuline Sisters have influenced their lives in a myriad of ways. When asked what inspired the couple to sponsor the Ursuline Legacy Room, they said quite simply “because of all the Ursuline Sisters have done for our family.”
