Sacred Heart Schools is proud to recognize Katy Brown SHA '83 as this year's recipient of the Laurel Award, one of Sacred Heart's highest honors, presented each year during the Sacred Heart Society Dinner. Since 2002, the Laurel Award has been awarded to individuals whose generosity and commitment embody the mission and values of Sacred Heart, strengthening our community in profound and lasting ways.

Katy's transformative $1.5 milion gift, the largest ever from an alumna, established the Katy Brown '83 Endowed Global Hearts Travel Program, a visionary initiative that expands access to international travel for SHA students. Rooted in her own life-changing experience studying abroad, Katy's generosity ensures that students of all backgrounds will have opportunities to grow as globally-minded leaders through service, advocacy, cultural immersion, and Ursuline heritage journeys.Read more about the Global Hearts Travel Program here.
