Sacred Heart Academy is seeking a Learning Specialist beginning with the 2025/26 school year. This position is full-time, 10-month (August through May). The Learning Specialist is part of the Accessible Education Center (AEC). The Learning Specialist will manage a caseload of students, providing academic support, strategy instruction, and guidance to ensure each student thrives. The ideal candidate brings experience in special education, school counseling, or learning support in secondary education, and is committed to Sacred Heart’s mission of educating the whole person in the Ursuline tradition.

Bachelor’s degree in special education, school counseling, school psychology, or a related field (Master’s degree strongly preferred). Valid certification in special education, counseling, or a related area (or eligibility for Kentucky certification). Minimum of two years’ experience working with students with learning differences at the middle or high school level. Deep understanding of learning disabilities, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, and differentiated instruction. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Positive and welcoming attitude. Sensitivity to confidential information.
