Sacred Heart Model School seeks a committed and nurturing professional to fill a part-time Level 1 educational assistant position. SHMS is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme. The IB PYP approaches to teaching and learning are centered on developing the whole child through a cycle of action, inquiry, and reflection. SHMS classrooms are student-centered. The IB philosophy places a strong emphasis on critical thinking, cooperative group work and social responsibility. Educational assistants work directly with the classroom teacher to support classroom procedures, student learning, and assist with tasks in the classroom. The position is 22.5 hours per week, typically from 8:00 am – 12:30 pm.
