This is the Valkyries’ ninth LIT championship title and third under head coach, Donna Moir.
Senior and University of Kentucky commit, Erin Toller led the game in scoring with a team high 26 points and three steals. Destinee Marshall followed with 14 points, five assists and two steals, earning the Tournament’s Bunny Daugherty Offense Award. Kristen Clemons and Josie Gilvin rounded out the crew of top scorers with double digit points and seven rebounds each.
Toller and Clemons were named to the LIT All-tournament team. The Valkyries are currently ranked #1 in the state following 13 straight wins.
