Description
SHS seeks an Interlude Coordinator effective immediately. Interlude is an annual fundraiser and gala, benefitting all students at our four campus schools. The Interlude Coordinator is a member of the Advancement Team reporting to the Director of Special Events and supports the overall mission of Sacred Heart Schools by contributing to the engagement of the campus with alumnae/ni, donors, parents, and community. This position is responsible for assisting with special events with primary responsibility for the overall planning, implementing, and managing aspects of Interlude. This is a part-time 10-month position in a general office setting with some travel required to pick up auction items.
Responsibilities include
· Abide by the policies and guidelines contained in the SHS Human Resource Policy Manual.
· Participate in activities that help build a faith community on the campus.
· Be a role model of the Ursuline core values of Reverence, Service, Leadership, and Community in all aspects of school and personal life.
· Plan and execute a successful Interlude event in support of SHS, by helping direct volunteers, managing operations, as well as raffle and auction according to the Kentucky Office of Charitable Gaming regulations.
· Assist Director of Special Events on Sacred Heart events including but not limited to Sacred Heart Society Dinner, SHA Alumnae Awards, SHA commencement, and school/organization anniversaries, with primary responsibility to the Interlude Gala.
· Oversee Interlude—All Heart volunteer chairs and committee members.
· Submit event-related requests and inquiries.
· Conduct and oversee event follow-ups.
· Filing, data entry, and document management as needed.
· Collaborate with marketing and communications on web updates for Interlude/events team.
· Attend Advancement meetings and other campus events to stay engaged in the life of Sacred Heart Schools.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree.
· Ability to exercise prudent judgment and mindfulness.
· Sensitivity to confidential information.
· Demonstrated ability to strategize and implement with a talent for motivating volunteers.
· Strong computer, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
· Professional manner and welcoming presence.
· Ability to establish, manage, prioritize tasks.
· Ability to perform general clerical duties: answering phone, typing, filing, copying, mailings, etc.
· Previous event planning experience preferred.
· Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge software experience or relational database preferred.
· Knowledge of Kentucky gaming regulations and experience working with Office of Charitable gaming a plus.
· Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for committee meetings and events.
