Sacred Heart School for the Arts will help families celebrate the holiday season with multiple performances of three Christmas productions. Each show is associated with a performance opportunity for students throughout Kentuckiana, grades Pre-K through 12, enrolled in the Sacred Heart School for the Arts after-school programs. Bah, Humbug! (Intermediate Drama)
November 30 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. and December 1 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Bill Francoeur's musical adaption of the heartwarming classic, A Christmas Carol, is sure to delight with beautiful music and skillful retelling. Ebenezer Scrooge discovers the true meaning of Christmas through visits with the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, culminating in the uplifting realization that "Life was Meant to Live" with all the friends and family he has grown to cherish.
The Tale of the Drowsy Shepherd (Beginning Drama)
December 6 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
There's trouble in Bethlehem! Aaron is sleeping on the job and the sheep are disappearing rapidly! If Aaron can't shape up, he'll have to "sheep" out! Nothing short of a miracle can help this drowsy shepherd...and word has it one such miracle has just occurred in a small stable down the street.
The Nutcracker (Dance)
December 7 and 14 at 7 p.m. and December 8, 9, 15 and 16 at 2 p.m.
This Ballet is performed by the SHSA Dance Ensemble with dancers from the entire Louisville community. This holiday tradition retells the story of E.T.A Hoffman's "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King." Clara, the Nutcracker Prince and the Mouse King enter the realm of the Sugar Plum Fairy with all the treats one can enjoy!

Sacred Heart School for the Arts (SHSA), fully-accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, provides opportunities for students of all ages either to pursue careers in the arts or to enrich their lives through music, dance, drama or visual art. In addition to its after-school tuition-based classes, SHSA provides arts instruction through an arts integration program as part of the school day for schools on the Ursuline Campus.
