The Louisville Youth Choir will present its annual A Christmas Festival Concert on December 8 at 7 p.m. at Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church, 311 Browns Lane, Louisville. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors (55 and over) and $5 for students. Visit louyouthchoir.org/store for tickets. Works by Handel, Britten, Vaughn-Williams, Mendelssohn, Rutter and others will be featured along with an opportunity for the audience to join in song. Various selections will be performed with guest artists, Sacred Heart School for the Arts Debutante Harp Ensemble.
The Louisville Youth Choir's ensembles are directed by Rhonda Hibdon, Katie Cook, Caitlin Jennings, Maggie Owens, Phil Jennings, Jacob Cook and Terri Foster and accompanied by Thomas Seacat, Rhonda Hibdon and Dennis O'Donoghue.
The Louisville Youth Choir is comprised of over 100 singers from nearly 60 schools and home schools in the Louisville and southern Indiana areas. The Louisville Youth Choir was established in 1967 to create young stars of today and leaders of tomorrow. Its musical repertoire includes many styles and cultures, including major classics and modern works, often performed with soloists and orchestras. The Louisville Youth Choir is artist in residence at Sacred Heart School for the Arts, a member of Sacred Heart Schools, and is a member group of the Fund for the Arts.
