Sacred Heart Academy student-athletes come together in prayer at Rosary Rally. The athletes represent the cross country, volleyball, soccer and field hockey teams at SHA.
Sacred Heart Academy's athletic program hosted a Rosary Rally on Sunday, October 1 at the Ursuline Motherhouse Chapel. Student-athletes from the Academy, along with their parents, athletic directors, coaches and campus ministers, gathered together to pray for a safe and fruitful season.
The rally was held in partnership with SportsLeader, a Catholic virtue-based program designed to help develop the morality and spirituality of student-athletes.
"What a powerful opportunity for the girls to come together as a Catholic school community to pray," said Sacred Heart Academy campus minister Andrea Hoback. "The Rosary Rally helps connect our students as a larger sports community. As they come together to pray, they are experiencing the Ursuline Core value of community while showing reverence for their God and for their teammates. The rally empowers them through prayer to become better athletes and better students."
