An Endowment Initiative for Student Financial Aid and Faculty Professional Development
Promising Futures will advance the Sacred Heart Schools vision. The $5.5 million endowment initiative will benefit every student enrolled in our four schools. In turn, the Louisville community, the state of Kentucky, and far beyond will reap the benefits of young leaders committed to living the Ursuline Core Values of community, leadership, reverence and service.
Why is an endowment initiative needed now? Because we are mission driven. Students want to learn at Sacred Heart Schools, but are expecting to learn in ways far different than past generations. Teachers want to teach at Sacred Heart Schools, but seek opportunities that encourage continuing education and professional development; others want to be a part of the Sacred Heart Schools community, but circumstances will not allow. At Sacred Heart Schools, we promise boys and girls a future. With your help, we will keep our promise.
Learners to Leaders
Promising Futures seeks to dramatically increase student financial aid through endowment. Donor support of financial aid will ensure that the most promising students have access to Sacred Heart Schools. With access comes possibility. With possibility comes a promising future.
Student Financial Aid Endowment: $2.75 – 3 million
We all have a teacher to thank for believing in and encouraging us. Teachers are mentors, coaches, counselors, nurturers and friends. When alumni return to campus or reminisce about their days at Sacred Heart, inevitably it is an inspiring teacher who is remembered most vividly and affectionately. Teachers change lives.
The average salary of a Sacred Heart Schools teacher is approximately 34% less than their public school peer.
Professional Development Endowment: $2.75 – 3 million
Our vision is to be a nationally recognized Catholic school district and premier character building academic institution. If our promise of transforming young lives from learners to leaders is to endure, it is critical that the Sacred Heart Schools endowment have permanent funds available for student financial aid and faculty professional development.
Our goal is to secure $5.5 million through cash and estate planning gifts. Sacred Heart Schools has an immediate need to infuse our endowment with cash gifts. Additionally, estate gifts are critical to ensure the future of Sacred Heart Schools.
With your help, promises made will be promises kept. For more information contact Beth Clingaman.
