Louisville Youth Choir
In 2007, Sacred Heart School for the Arts welcomed the renowned Louisville Youth Choir as artists in residence. Louisville Youth Choir, a nonprofit arts organization, was established in 1967 to create a passion for singing among young people. LYC annually draws around 100 youth from throughout the metropolitan area. Its musical repertoire includes many styles and cultures, including major classics and modern works, often performed with soloists and orchestras.
Open auditions are held seasonally, and weekly rehearsals culminate in more than five public performances annually. The Choir’s goal is to enhance musical education and performance experiences for students throughout the region and currently includes students from approximately 40 area public, private and Catholic schools.

Sacred Heart School for the Arts offers weekday performances of productions for local area schools. At a time when many schools are cutting back on arts programs, a trip to SHSA is an outstanding opportunity to expose your students to the power and wonder of live theatre and the arts.
