Parent Involvement

Sacred Heart Preschool encourages open communication and parental involvement. As a parent or guardian, you are welcome to visit your child at Sacred Heart Preschool whenever you like. Throughout the year, you are encouraged to participate in classroom storytelling activities and attend events for the whole family.

Parent orientation, open house and parent visitation days – including Daddy Donut Day, Mommy Tea Day and Grandparents Week – allow our families to build a sense of community. Opening Convocation at the beginning of each school years brings the entire campus together to reflect and celebrate in our outdoor amphitheatre. Each spring, SHP caravans around campus for their annual Derby Parade, with students and faculty from all four schools cheering from the sidewalks!

We also invite parents to participate in the SHP Parent Association, which organizes special family and school events.

Formal parent/teacher conferences are conducted each semester. Informal conferences are conducted throughout the year as needed. Online tools from Teaching Strategies Gold(TSG) allow families to communicate directly with faculty, track student progress and view weekly lesson plans. To learn more about TSG, click here.
